Download Tarnished Crown The Royals, 3. Holy Crap! The World is Ending! King of Code by C. Reece and Angie were so cute and I adored them together. I liked that even though she was quiet at school she did not back down when it came to him. I was shy in school too so I connected with her. She just didn't want to be in the limelight and I think that's fine.
I was glad the author didn't make her super awkward like a lot of authors tend to do. I really liked the magic elements in this book. It was different and incredibly interesting. I mean harbingers of death that turn into crows and men with bees living inside of them. Can it get any cooler than that? I think not. The musical element was also a cool theme throughout the book. There really wasn't anything that I disliked about this book. It was just perfect. I really enjoyed Black Bird of the Gallows.
It's been a while since I was swallowed by a fantasy world and Black Bird of the Gallows really got me. What an awesome debut, Author Meg Kassel really knows how to write her fantasy world.
I love how strong both Heroine and Hero were. It might have taken them some time to really show each other how they felt, but their love for each other was strong. I was so worried that with all the tragedy, that I was going to loose them both. I also have to say how much I love Reece. How cute that Reece have loved Angie since they were six. Their love story is epic and the ending was so well deserved.
The ending was the greatest. I can't believe it took me so long to finally read this. Loved it. This book is one of the best paranormal novels I've read this year. It was brilliant! The writing was beautiful, the storyline engaging, and all the characters were realistic and relatable. The story paced along steadily during most of the book, developing the plot and the suspense and the creepiness factor, and the last part of the book was full on action with a surprise twist at the end.
This is a wonderful atmospheric paranormal read, and the story concept felt very original to me. I would definitely recommend this book to all paranormal and supernatural book lovers. I was hooked by the first page.
Meg did a great job on character development and kept my interest through the entire book. Her story line had several elements to it: mystery, magic, romance, facing hardship, strong female character. These elements came together in a wonderful story. For me the mark of a really good book is that I will read it again and I will recommend it to others.
Making him yearn for a different life. Reece is desperate to protect Angie from an impending natural disaster that will decimate her town, and from a sinister creature who sees her as the key to breaking his own tortured curse. But one hard lesson Reece has learned: becoming a harbinger of death was easer than unbecoming one….
It smells faintly of parsley and strongly of garlic, but he pours a healthy glass and downs half of it in one chug. To his credit, he winces only a little. You might like it. No thanks. His job is to sell equipment intended to keep them alive.
